This research paper is focused on the experiment
done for the partial replacement of coarse aggregate with palm
kernel shell (PKS) in concrete and therefore production of
lightweight concrete. Palm kernel shell is a waste and thus by
using it environment-friendly concrete is produced. For the
construction of concrete, the materials which used are cement,
sand, coarse aggregate and palm kernel shell. The ratio of these
materials are 1: 1.5: 3 by volume batch and the dimension of the
cube is 150mm x 150mm x 150mm and the size of coarse
aggregate which is used are passed by 16 mm sieve and retained
on 12.5mm sieve. Then the partial replacement of coarse
aggregate is done by 10%, 13%, 15%, 20%, and 25% and the
testing of the cube is done on 7days, 14days, and 28days. This
experiment gives the idea about the possible amount of weight
reduction of concrete without heavily affecting the strength of
concrete.

In this paper, we discuss different cyber threats to corporate infrastructure. Our primary focus is Ransomware(RW), its types, along with its evolution. With the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of cyber attacks have steeply increased due to the home-office working situation. Cases of Ransomware (RW) have doubled as shown by cyber security research conducted in Q1 2020. Traditional network antimalware software and several other packet filtering techniques have also been ineffective against these attacks, this paper also tries to delve into the types of attacks, spread of the malware to multiple systems along with protective measures that can be undertaken to limit its potential of infecting all the systems within a network. We have also tried to show the evolutionary nature of the malware with recent cases showing a different type of attack that emphasizes blended extortion Ransomware attacks where hackers steal confidential information before encrypting it. If victims chose not to pay for a decryption key, attackers will then threaten to release stolen information publicly. This intern results in a catch-22 problem where the target is vulnerable even after backing up systems.

The St. Lawrence Lowlands platform, Quebec, Canada, is a densely-populated area, heavily dependent on groundwater resources. In 1999, the Geological Survey of Canada initiated a large-scale hydrogeological assessment study over a 1,500 km2 region northwest of Montreal. The objectives were to define the regional groundwater flow, and to give quantitative estimates of the groundwater dynamic parameters and of the available groundwater resources. The applied approach consisted of defining the hydrogeologic framework, hydraulic properties of the aquifer units, and groundwater dynamic components. Lower Paleozoic sedimentary rocks represent regional aquifer units. Coarse Quaternary fluvio-glacial sediments locally overlay the rock sequence and constitute an interface aquifer unit. Fine marine sediments confine most of the regional aquifers. Collected GIS based information was synthesized in a finite element numerical model. The regional saturated steady-state flow was calibrated under current stress conditions assuming an equivalent porous medium approach. Water budget calculations show that the total groundwater flow in regional aquifers amounts to 97.7 Mm3/y. Infiltration from precipitation provides 86.6% of the groundwater supply, while 9.6% comes from subsurface inflow and the remaining 3.8% is induced recharge from surface waters. Discharge from regional aquifers occurs through flow to streams (76.9%), groundwater withdrawal (18.4%), and underground outflow (4.7%). En 1999, le Service Géologique du Canada a initié une étude hydrogéologique à grande-échelle sur 1500 km2 au Nord-Ouest de Montréal. Le sobjectifs ont été de définir la dynamique de l’écoulement régional, et de donner des estimations quantitatives des paramètres dynamiques des ressources disponibles en eau souterraine. L’approche utilisée consista à définir le cadre hydrogéologique de travail, les propriétés hydrauliques des unités aquifères, et les composantes dynamiques des eaux souterraines. Les roches sédimentaires du Paléozoïque Inférieur représentent les unités aquifères régionales. Les sédiments marins fins confinent la plus grande partie des aquifères régionaux. Les informations de base, collectées dans un SIG, ont été synthétisées dans un modèle numérique aux éléments finis. L’écoulement permanent régional, en zone saturée, a été calibré en conditions de stress en assumant une approche de milieu poreu équivalent. Les calculs du bilan hydrologique montrent que l’écoulement total des eaux souterraines dans les aquifères régionaux atteind 97,7 Mm3/an. L’infiltration à partir des précipitations apporte 86.6% de l’eau souterraine exploitée; sachant que 9,6% proviennent d’écoulement de subsurfaces, et que les 3,8% restants proviennent de la recharge via les eaux de surface. Le débit pompé des aquifères régionaux apparaît à travers l’écoulement des cours d’eau, le rabattement des eaux souterraines (18.4%), et l’écoulement ascendant (4.7%). Infiltración a partir de lluvia aporta el 86.6% del abastecimiento al agua subterránea, mientras que el 9.6% proviene de entradas subsuperficiales y el restante 3.8% consiste de recarga inducida a partir de aguas superficiales. The theory-based closure relations for the wall and interfacial shear stresses obtained previously for laminar stratified flow, are extended to be applicable also to turbulent flows in either or both of the phases. The closure relations are formulated in terms of the single-phase-based expressions, which are augmented by two-phase interaction factors, due to the flow of the two phases in the same channel. These closure relations, which are valid for smooth stratified flow in horizontal or inclined pipes, were used as a platform for introducing necessary empirical corrections required in the stratified wavy flow regime. Based on experimental data available from the literature, new empirical correlations for the wave effect on the interface curvature, on the interfacial shear and on the liquid wall shear were obtained. We've developed an assistant system for housing negotiation and named it LIPSTICK. It consists of two transformation sub-systems with databases that store customers individual Kansei data. A customer can input his requirements for each room using mood words, and LIPSTICK outputs several recommended sample pictures of showrooms in order of suitability. This system is available for visualizing and analyzing the customer's requirements and activating communication during housing negotiation.

Most industrially applied polymer resins and composites have low surface free energy and lack polar functional groups on their surface, resulting in inherently poor adhesion properties. A strong research momentum to understand polymer adhesion in the last decade has been motivated by the growing needs of the automotive and aerospace industries for better adhesion of components and surface coatings. This paper reviews the recent research efforts on polymer adhesion with a special focus on adhesion mechanisms. It starts with an introduction to adhesion with explanatory notes on adhesion phenomena. Recent research on the adhesion mechanisms of mechanical coupling, chemical bonding and thermodynamic adhesion is then discussed. The area of adhesion promoters is reviewed with the focus on plasma and chemical treatments, along with direct methods for adhesion measurement. The topics of polymer blends and reactive polymerization are considered and the interactions with adhesion mechanisms are reported. The concluding section provides recommendations regarding future research on the contentious aspects of currently accepted adhesion mechanisms and on strategies for enhancing polymer adhesion strength.

Malware refers to any malicious code or program that is harmful to systems. It is a major threat to the security of information in computer systems. Some of the types of malware that are most commonly used are viruses, worms, Trojans, etc. Nowadays, the rise of a new malware known as fileless malware and its defensive strategies can be used to mitigate it. Fileless malware may be a class of malware that runs entirely in memory and leave as small of a footprint on the target host as possible. Fileless malware attack windows applications and system administration tools such as PowerShell and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) to execute and spread fileless malware. This report describes the results of the end line assessment of the Indonesian Organisation KKI-WARSI that is a partner of IUCN-NL.
